Services, Courses, and Study Guides
Allied Health Prep Academy has courses to prepare students for the Certified Risk Adjustment Coder and Certified Professional Coder certifications administered by the AAPC. All curriculum material is created with sited resources from the AMA, AAPC, WHO, the CDC, CMS, HHS, Optum. Upon successful completion of the course the student will be prepared to sit for the national medical coding exams (AAPC – American Academy of Professional Coders). In order to increase efficiency, produce passing scores on the AAPC exams, and to ensure retention of knowledge, I have created an automated setting within the online course that will not allow you to move to the next module until you have first completed 70% of the previous module.
Effective January 1, 2023, Allied Health Prep Academy will welcome 8 certified, qualified, experienced Medical Coding and Billing Instructors.
In addition to medical coding courses, Allied Health Prep Academy offers courses in medical terminology, anatomy, offers individual and group tutoring, interview prep sessions, and career development plans to assist with elevation within the healthcare industry. With plans of rapid expansion, soon, Allied Health Prep Academy will offer CPR certification, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) classes and 3 DAY CRC courses in various cities throughout the United States, Canadian Provinces, and the Caribbean Islands.
Courses
Tutoring
There is not a “one size fits all” plan for educational and/ or career needs, therefore, the first step in retaining my assistance is to schedule a consultation (discovery) call, which will last for 45 minutes. During this call, I will discover your needs in order to create an individualized plan. Typically, to cover the entire exam via refresher sessions, it will take a series of 3 sessions, totaling six hours. Tutoring services are offered in increments of two hours due to the limited amount of information that can be given in one hour.

Discovery Consultation Call
This consultation call is necessary before schedule tutoring and/ or career development strategy sessions to individualize and create a structured plan, according to your desired goals.

Interview Preparatory Strategy Session
During this strategy session we will discover your weaknesses and strengths to capitalize by conveying this as an asset to employers. We will cover commonly asked interview questions with guidance on how to adequately answer those questions.

Career Elevation Plan
The career elevation plan is for any professional that is stagnant in their career, regardless of the industry. During this call we will outline and create a structured plan to assist you towards an upward trajectory within your respective career.

Resume Tips
If you have transferable skills but you are not sure how to translate those qualifications on your resume, this session is for you. Also, if you have submitted numerous resumes without employers calling back, consider scheduling this session. I will look over your resume and credentials and make the necessary suggestions to assist you with getting traction from your application submissions.

The CRC exam prep course is an online course with LIVE virtual instruction on pre-scheduled days, which are given at the time of enrollment via the Orientation module and in orientation.

This course is taught in modules, with each module covering specified risk adjustment topics that are included within the AAPC CRC national exam. The modules include audio/ video recordings, Power Point presentations, handouts, and practice exams.

Upon successful completion of the CRC Prep Course, you will understand the core principles of Test Taking Tips, Medical Terminology, Anatomy, Risk Adjustment and how it affects reimbursement and finances, Quality Care, Various Risk Adjustment Models and Payers, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Approved Providers, Hierarchical Condition Categories, Frequently Coded Conditions in Risk Adjustment Models, Risk Adjustment Validation Audits, Documentation Barriers and the components of a medical record.
